OAPC Party!
The OAPC adventure was smooth sailing!
My partner and I worked well together. It was seamless and not painful at all!
I was somehow the "expert" in our duo which is far from the truth. Ha! I do currently work in a library, but I still have so much to learn. My partner had more formal training as this was her last class and my first class. With our combined forces we got through it together!
I learned from her an amazing FREE resource. SlidesGo is a site with free templates for Google Slides. It was a "oh, that's where people get their cool slides from" moment for me! I feel like I'm in a cool club that I hadn't been invited to before.
Capterra was also an excellent resource. As a LMS overseeing 7 schools and using 2 separate OPACs I know this will be a future site I will visit. Obviously when I have time to breath and figure out what exactly is the right OPAC for us~ My district currently uses Destiny and Library World. For its quirkiness Destiny is still a solid contender. Through my research on Capterra it is clearly evident that there are programs out there that are comparable or better than Library World for less or similar money. One feature I found very helpful was the ability to pick specific OPACs and do a side by side comparison.
